The Lodge - Verbier

Sir Richard Branson's stunning mountain retreat is perched high in the Swiss Apls in Verbier and is a perfect year round escape. The 13 friendly and experiences staff include Necker Island trained General Manager, an activities co-ordinator, spa therapist, Raymond Blanc trained chef and Bam Bam - the chalet dog. The Lodge is part of Virgin Limited Edition, Sir Richard Branson's collection of unique retreats.

This picture perfect chalet sleeps up to 18 adults in seven beautifully decorated luxury bedrooms and two stunning Master Suites, all of which enjoy views to the valley below. An additional six children can be accommodated in the kid's bunkroom. You can also experience winter at The Lodge without hiring the whole chalet out. There are individual rooms available from 8th to the 18th December.

Master Suites
The suites are located on the top floor, both of which have private balconies set against a stunning mountain backdrop - perfect for intimate dining in the summer. The living areas feature beautiful centrepiece fireplaces and comfy sofas to relax on chilly evenings. Each suite comes with spacious bathrooms, including large soaking tubs, rain showers and a range of toiletries including all of the essentials you may have forgotten. The Master Suites can also interconnect for families.

Bunkroom
The bunkroom is located on the first floor and sleeps six small children. It comes complete with an en-suite shower room, plasma screen TV with DVD player, an Xbox games console and bean bags - perfect for getting away from the adults!

Dining
The open plan kitchen at The Lodge is one of the highlights of your stay - providing the perfect opportunity to watch the chef perfect his magic. You can enjoy a range of different foods, including a mix of Swiss and international cuisine. Dining can be as formal or informal as you like, from a full four course gourmet meal to picnics or lighter options perfect for the children. The wine cellar offers the perfect opportunity to 'nose and swirl around the extensive selection of wines.

Spa
After an active day, you can relax your muscles and inwind in the capable hands of the resident beauty therapist. Soothing treatments are available both for men and women.

Winter Sports
Verbier is one of the world's most popular winter resorts, and is part of the "Four Valleys" so there are numerous runs challenging beginners through to experienced skiers. The main ski lift is a short 250m from the chalet and experienced skiers can ski directly into the Lodge. There is also cross country skiing available, sledging, snowboarding and snowshoeing.

Kids Club
At The Lodge, all children under 12 will be invited to become a "Lodge Ranger". There is a range of activities tailored to each child in both summer and winter together with Lodge Ranger's cuisine. There is also a babysitting service available at an additional charge. All Rangers will be given a Lodge Rangers rucksack full of goodies including their very own St Bernard puppy!
