Villa Tiber - Amalfi Coast

There is Capri Town, and then, higher up on the island, there is Anacapri, where the wise travellers have always gone to avoid the multitude. Villa Tiber is located in the heights of Anacapri, a place of sea breezes, terraced gardens, lemon and olive groves leading down to the sea, and of course sensational views over the deep blue azure sea, from which the famous Grotto Azzurra or Blue Grotto got its name. The villa was built in 1950 and has been recently renovated, but maintains its original splendour but has enriched interiors with tastefully selected materials and furnishings. From the very private circular swimming pool, you can look back from onto the sparkling white villa, standing majestically in the sunshine.

Villa Tiber is a very special house, with bright rooms, beautifully coloured tiled floors and three of the four main bedrooms, which all have en-suite bathrooms, are on the ground floor. The original curved marble staircase leads up to the master bedroom, which boasts terrace, outside bathroom and a cosy study with picture windows looking out onto the island’s incredible coastline. Access from the terrace too, leads down steps to the pool.

Downstairs there is a modern fully equipped kitchen, a sitting room with arched windows, opening onto a covered outdoor dining area, which takes advantage of views the well kept gardens, and various garden fragrances circling the air. Although Villa Tiber has a private gated entrance, nothing on Capri is very far away by boat, open air taxi or even hire a scooter
