Villa Diso - Amalfi Coast

Villa Diso is a newly renovated villa in Italy, sleeping 12 guests, and lies in a truly enchanting Mediterranean setting among green olive groves and pine trees only three kilometres from Amalfi,. It is located along the main coastal road and next to a stairway, that leads directly down to Santa Croce beach below, enjoyed by tourists and locals for its clear water and fabulous restaurants.

The Main house is accessible via 4 steps from the parking area found at street level which has spaces for 3 cars. The entrance of the villa immediately leads into the spacious master bedroom with private bathroom and Jacuzzi shower, TV and wardrobe. Adjoining large terraces with beautiful ceramic tiled floors and sun lounges are accessed from the master bedroom. 20 steps down a wooden staircase lead you to the main living room and dining area. The living room has double access to the kitchen area, on the right, and to the bedroom area, on the left. The living room joins a small terrace with patio seating overlooking the gardens, pool, and sea. The living room has a beautiful terracotta floor, decorated in the twelve signs of the zodiac. It has 2 large sofas, a large glass coffee table, and an open fireplace. The room has a cigar corner furnished with 2 armchairs, a small table, and a complete stereo system and telephone. The living room leads to a bedroom area, on the left, with two independent bedrooms. The first is a small double bed room with two yellow feather beds, a panoramic window overlooking the terraces and the garden, TV, and access from French window to a terrace with patio furniture, beautiful coloured tiles, and wicker chairs. The second is another double room with TV, built-in wardrobe in the corridor and French windows opening onto a courtyard with access on the terraces and the gardens. These two double bedrooms share a bathroom with Jacuzzi shower located in the hallway between the two rooms. The kitchen is large and well equipped with a large refrigerator, 8-burner stovetop, electrical oven, and a wide tiled countertop and service area. The kitchen also has a great, refrigerated wine ‘cellar’ with some of Italy’s top regional and national wines for guests’ enjoyment. A dining area with table for four is off to the North end and accesses a French door leading out to an outdoor terrace and large dining area for 12 and barbeque. The kitchen, on the other side, borders a corridor, which leads to a small double bedroom with a wardrobe, sofa, TV, and panoramic window. It shares a spacious bathroom with shower.

Dependānce (Guest Rooms):
20 steps down from the entrance gate (and to the right of the outdoor dining and barbeque area) is a renovated dependānce housing two, independent double bedrooms with private facilities. These two bedrooms (one double, one twin) have curved ceilings and private bathroom facilities. Each room has an independent entrance leading from a spacious balcony overlooking the sea and the beautiful terraces of the entire property.

Terraces/Garden:
The entire complex and its adjoining dependence offers ample, well maintained outdoor spaces on three levels, composed of terraces, gardens, and a pool area with a spectacular sea view, light by garden lamps in the evening hours. The outdoor area is full of beautiful, planted pink and red geraniums and is divided into many different, comfortable sitting areas. The small terrace between the villa and the dependānce creates a nice outdoor eating space, covered with Bougainville pergola, with a barbecue and large marble table, seating for 12, and outdoor lighting. A small terrace with pizza oven is located 12 steps below the dependānce. The remaining terraces are furnished with marble tables and comfortable rocking chairs and covered by a Bougainville porch, surrounded by palms, olive groves, and pine trees. About 40 steps down from the main floor leads you the swimming pool (4m x 8m x 1.80-2.20 meters) and pool deck with 12 sun chairs, large umbrellas, and two outdoor, poolside dining areas. The terrace is also equipped with two showers. A flight of steps brings you from the pool down to a kitchen garden, which defines the property towards the sea.

Facilities: Parking space for 3 mid-sized cars; satellite TV, central heating, air-conditioning throughout, safe in all bedrooms; Oven, pay telephone, CD-player, refrigerator with ice maker, wine canteen, laundry with industrial washing machine as well as professional iron and iron table, outdoor pizza oven, barbecue, swimming pool (4 meters x 8 meters x 1.80-2.20 meters) with 2 showers.

Electricity: 150-200 kwh is included in the rental price. Excess of the included kilo-wattage is to be paid on site, upon checkout, at 0.35 euros per kwh.
