La Casbah is an intimate hideaway situated on a private beach cove in the quiet resort of Roches Noires, northeast of Mauritius. Set up in a private garden, this fine property steps down directly on the beach. Formations of black rocks from place to place make a striking contrast to the turquoise of the sea and the white of the surf - sprayed coral reef. The villa has been architecturally designed incorporating Moroccan features with an eye for both the traditional and contemporary styles. Special features are the garden courtyard and the roof terrace with cushioned seating area for sundowners by candlelight. Interiors are spacious and painted in warm colours.

La Casbah can accommodate up to 6 people. The master bedroom has a sea view, dressing area and en-suite bathroom and separate WC. Two further double bed rooms have en-suite bathrooms and separate WC. All bedrooms are air-conditioned. There are spacious indoor and outdoor living areas overlooking the silver beach and crystal water. There is a TV, DVD player and music system. You can choose from a good selection of DVD's on request. The villa has a well equipped American style kitchen and another further staff kitchen for meal preparation. There is a guest toilet and a separate laundry room. Exclusively available to guests of the villa is the maid/cook from the village who comes every morning and who can also subject to arrangements come some evenings. On daily request, a butler who will also be your driver is available and willing to accompany guests on excursions to view cultural sights and beauty spots. He will also prepare your barbeque and find you fresh seafood. Also available to house guests is an extensive choice of vintage wines from the owner's cellars. Available for use during your stay are snorkels, bicycles and canoes. This exclusive villa is the ideal retreat for a group of friends/family or alternatively a fabulous Mauritius honeymoon retreat.

Roches Noires. The nearest village, for your everyday shopping, is 4 km's away and the sea - side town of Grand Bay with its tourist attractions is 25 minutes drive to the north. Several of the island's best hotels are 10 to 20 minutes drive to the south.
