The Tryall Club,Jamaica once a majestic plantation spread over 2,000 acres, is located on the shores of the Caribbean Sea and approximately twelve miles west of Montego Bay. It is an area of real scenic beauty, with a mile and a half of seafront, a par-72 championship golf course an abundance of beautiful trees and plants, creating the lush Jamaican countryside, all naturally fed by the springs from the Flint River and the mountains. The golf course hosts many prestigious events and has also won many awards, recently Caribbean World Magazine named Tryall Golf Course as the 2005 Golf Course of the Year. Nestled throughout the grounds and golf course are a fine selection of villas in Jamaica, ranging from 2 – 9 bedrooms, all varying in style and location within the estate. There are 56 estate villas and each come fully staffed with cook, maid, laundress, gardener and occasional butler and a head of house who manages holiday arrangements. All villas are privately owned and individually furnished, set in spacious gardens which host a private swimming pool many sharing common features including vaulted ceilings, en-suite bathrooms and large living areas, reflecting individual styles in their décor and furnishings.
Located adjacent to the Great House with views of the Caribbean Sea and golf course are five two- bedroom and seven one-bedroom air-conditioned Great House villas. The one-bedroom Great House villas are split level with entrance foyer, bedroom, bathroom and a small patio on the upper level. Bedrooms are equipped with queen and king size beds, and there are pull-out sofa beds or double beds in the living room. The lower level is equipped with a full kitchen, with dining and living area on the ground floor. There is a comfortably sized porch on the lower level.
The centre point of Tryall Club Jamaica is the historic Great House, perched high on the hill looking down across the estate to sea. The facilities include 9 tennis courts ( 2 are floodlit), a well-stocked pro-shop, weekly tournaments, an experienced team of instructors and hitting partners. Proper tennis attire is required.
There is something for all the family at Tryall the activities and services available allow adults and children alike to enjoy their holiday. In the Kid’s Club the children are entertained through various activities, from a trek in the woods, to sand sculpturing plus many arts and crafts, each child being well and taken care of whilst the parents squeeze in some serious rest and relaxation. The Kids’ Club offers daily activities between 10am and 4pm for children from ages 5 to 12, however, toddlers (accompanied by baby sitters) and teenagers are also welcome on selected activities. Professional babysitters are also available on request for a few hours or for full-time service.
Jamaica provides visitors with a real gourmet experience, the villas at Tryall have accomplished cooks to take care of all your culinary needs, but should you wish to dine elsewhere there are several dining options, each with its own distinctive setting. There is also Tryall Market, the on-site commissary.The Beach Café, just a few feet away from the waters edge, and serves a delicious and varied lunch menu. The Beach Gazebo offers a uniquely romantic dining experience select your menu and have your own personal butler to serve you. The Great House provides breakfast and dinner, an invigorating way to start the day with views of the sea and warm morning breezes or an elegant candle-lit dinner on the terrace with breathtaking views and the sparkling lights of Montego Bay in the distance.
After a busy morning on the golf course, an afternoon on the beach, why not pamper yourself with massage, which can be done at the Centre or at your villa ( on request) a superb way to rejuvenate yourself for the evening ahead. Or if you are Tryall's hilly lanes are shaded by Royal Palm and African tulip trees, making these routes ideal for a leisurely walk or a brisk jog.
Commencing January 1, 2009, the Tryall Club will require all guests to become members during their stay via a Temporary Membership Fee of US$100 per week for each guest 18 or older, or US$20 per day per person for stays of less than 7 days (inclusive of tax). This policy applies to all new bookings received after September 1, 2008.
The Temporary Membership Fee can be paid locally at the Front Desk in the Great House when you check-in. Credit cards are accepted. Guests will be given a temporary membership card to enable your access to all Club facilities.
