Mullins Mill - Barbados

Mullins Mill presides over eight acres of glorious tropical gardens, including a jungle-like gully with a landscaped natural water course and a small bridge leading to its pool area.  From here, there are stunning views to the Caribbean Sea.  The terrace leads onto lawns with views of the Caribbean Sea through the tree tops.  There is also a wooden gazebo perched on the edge of the ridge, a perfect place to sip cocktails at sunset.

Bedrooms

The master bedroom is located upstairs in the main house next to the mill.  It has natural varnished wooden floors, a private balcony facing the gully, and a spacious king size four-poster Balinese bed with a cane headboard and muslin drapes. Also in the master bedroom is an en suite bathroom with tub shower and a dressing area with a single bed.  The master bedroom is fully air-conditioned and has a cieling fan, safe and haridryert.  The actual mill, accessed from the gallery, has a circular sitting room, a formal reception room, and on the upper level a charming circular second bedroom.  This bedroom has a wrought iron four-poster queen size bed and an en suite bathroom with a shower.  The second bedroom is also air-conditioned and has a ceiling fan. 

Bedrooms 3 and 4, both with twin beds, are connected to the main house by an open stairway. Both bedrooms have an en suite with a shower.  The vine covered guest cottage opposite the main house has two spacious double bedrooms with twin beds, each with their own en suite with showers. Both are air-conditioned and have ceiling fans for extra comfort.  The bedroom downstairs, has a built in seating and private patio area overlooking the canopy of trees to the coast. 

Outside

A pleasant walk through the gardens, past the water course and bridge over the gully, leads to the oasis like infinity swimming pool and adjoining Jacuzzi.  It has been built on the edge of the ridge and has splendid views to the coast, with a rear sun deck next to the dining gazebo with wet bar, and an unusual hand painted mural of Venus.  Behind the swimming pool the garden opens out to an area of lawn where guests can relax or play tennis on the private court.  There is also a private beach house on Gibbs Beach. It has a sitting area, kitchenette with wet bar and opens out onto a sun terrace and garden with built in BBQ. The beach house also consists of a bathroom with shower and two changing rooms.

The six bedroom rental rate at Mullin Bay includes the use of the owners' speedboat equipped for waterskiing and towing inflatable rides.  Note the cost of oil and petrol are additional.  This tropical venue is perfect for weddings and special occasions.
