Bellevue ouse Barbados was previously known as Anton Hall in the late 18th century and is believed to have been built between 1735 and 1750. The present owners have carried out a wonderful renovation, which has modernized this 8 bedroom villa in Barbados, providing every luxury, while keeping the traditional Barbadian style.

The original plantation house would have been the square Georgian block, which was so common throughout the British Colonial islands, a term used to describe the many delightful tropical touches, for example the use of limestone, verandas, galleries, raising the house over a full basement, imposing exterior stairs, push-out windows and jalousies shutters – all of which can be seen at Bellevue.

The master suite and 3 guest suites are also on this level. They are all air-conditioned and 3 open onto balconies. On the lower level are 2 further guest suites, a large family room, featuring a mosaic design of the island of Barbados and a study. There are two large dining tables that are great for elegant dining or holding board meetings. The formal dining room opens on to the dining terrace, unusual bar, casual eating and lounging patio. This patio looks out to the large pool and deck, surrounded by a lush garden and mature trees.
