Moondance is a very colourful and impressive 3 bedroom villa, with an individual elegance of it’s own, plus two separate 1 bedroom cottages, Twinkle and K’ai Etolie, to accommodate for larger families or parties. This villa in Antigua is located on a hillside at the end of Freeman’s Bay beach overlooking English Harbour. It is luxuriously appointed providing all the facilities to enjoy a great holiday, including a swimming pool, Jacuzzi, TV, DVD, BBQ, fully equipped kitchen, garden shower, hammocks and fabulous views. In addition guests can use the facilities at Galleon Beach including complimentary tennis, non-motorised water-sports and the ferry service to Nelson’s Dockyard. Access to Moondance is via a steep driveway passing the two cottages before arriving at the two-storey main house villa has been built literally into the bedrock of the surrounding hillside.
The owner has created her own style and personal touches blending in the natural surroundings, with brightly coloured sculptures, silk hangings, and a variety of unique artefacts whilst still providing comfortable and homely accommodation. For example the rear wall of the poolside washroom, known as the “Rock Room” has the remains of a large exposed boulder and the sink is an actual clam shell. Other natural features include outdoor showers screened by the lush tropical gardens.

The accommodation consists of 3 bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen with hand painted units, the main living areas with hardwood floors and large sofas, which lead to the partially covered, wooden decked veranda with sitting area, TV, DVD, music system, wet bar, dining area to seat twelve overlooking the kidney –shaped pool ( approx 25Ft x 11Ft) and a gas BBQ. The bedrooms are colourfully decorated, two have king size beds. The master bedroom has air-conditioning, en-suite bathroom, four posted bed, large outside shower built into the hillside and opens up onto a deck area.

Moondance is a special villa in Antigua, and has several unusual and unique features throughout, including an electrical pulley system runs from the garage up to the kitchen window, so that you don’t have to struggle up the steps with the shopping it.

For larger families and groups, the option to rent the 2 separate self-contained cottage/studios is a great option, each cottage providing an additional bedroom, sitting area, TV and kitchen.
Twinkle Cottage is in the style of a charming, wooden tree house with shuttered windows, a small sitting area, TV, CD player, compact kitchen, king size bed, en-suite bathroom and stone garden shower. There is a balcony built around an old turpentine tree with a small dining table and views over the treetops to the bay.
K’ai Etoile Cottage - is slightly larger and has air-conditioning, a sitting area with a sofa-bed ( for an extra guest), TV and CD player, with the kitchen with a breakfast counter in one corner. French doors lead out onto the balcony, where guests can dine with seating for up to 6. A covered walkway alongside the kitchen leads to the air-conditioned bedroom, which has a king bed, TV, VCR, en-suite bathroom with stone garden shower and a private balcony overlooking the beach.
There is a small terraced garden shared by the two cottages which has a gas BBQ.

Freeman’s Bay Beach - quarter mile stretch of white sand just a short stroll away, down the drive and through the grounds of Galleon Beach. The swimming is excellent in clear, calm waters and there is a coral reef approximately 75 ft offshore, where there is good snorkelling.
Galleon Beach has a small store to purchase the basics, the nearest grocery store/supermarket is Bailey’s on Falmouth main road or a longer drive will get you to the Epicurean supermarket in the Woods Shopping Mall on Friar’s Hill Road north of St John’s.
The complimentary water taxi to Nelson’s Dockyard runs hourly from 8.30/9am until 4.30 pm, after which a service is available via Apple Water Taxis who charge approx charge EC$5 per person, per ride for the crossing.
Sunday afternoon BBQ at Shirley Heights Lookout - visitors and locals gather to party and watch the sunset with a drink or two and enjoy a live steel band concert, followed by a reggae band.
Calabash Restaurant and Bar is close by or take a water taxi to English Harbour & the Dockyard, where there is a range of restaurants, bars & nightlife.

The two cottages can be rented separately, from the main villa. In such cases guests of the cottages do not have use of the villa’s swimming pool.
Guests at Moondance, K’ai Etoile and Twinkle have full use of all the facilities at Galleon Beach. These include two tennis courts for day play with rackets and balls available for hire from reception. Non-motorised water-sports are complimentary to all guests and include single and double kayaks, sunfish sail boats, windsurfers and snorkelling gear.
